NEPSE Loses 24.08 Points and Closes at 2,514.39; Two Scrips Hit 10% Positive Circuit Breakers

The NEPSE index lost 24.08 points today and closed at 2,514.39. The index opened at 2,564.07 and briefly made an intraday high at 2,568.06. The index lost in the overall market movement today, going as low as 2,509.38. With this, total volatility of 58.68 points was witnessed in the trading session.

10,931,358 shares traded hands via 61,488 transactions. The trading of 211 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 5.35 Arba.

While the float index lost 1.47 points and closed at 172.87, the Sensitive index is at 448.80 after losing 4.79 points.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 46.96 crores. The shares of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) traded the most.

UPPER and CGH have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Prudential Insurance Company Limited (PICL) lost the most 4.71%.

Two sectors have gained today and all others closed red. The sector "Hotels and Tourism" gained the most 3.47% and the sector "Manufacturing and Processing" lost the most 2.27%.
