NEPSE loses 2.38 points and closes at 1,780.43; Hotels lead with 3.77% sector gain

The NEPSE index lost 2.38 points today, closing at 1,780.43. The index opened at 1,789.35. Total volatility of 20.3 points was witnessed during the trading session today, with the highest point being 1,792.41 and the lowest being 1,772.11.

12,021,347 shares exchanged hands via 46,240 transactions. Trading of 199 scrips brought the total turnover to a little over Rs. 4.76 Arba.

The float index gained a minimal 0.01 points and closed at 121.82 while the Sensitive index is at 344.95 after losing 0.12 points.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 30.22 crores. Its shares also traded the most today.

While Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) hit a 10% positive circuit today, NIC ASIA Balanced Fund (NICBF) lost the most 4.54%.

Four sectors gained and eight others closed red. Hotels gained the most 3.77% while Life Insurance lost the most 1.68%.
