NEPSE Loses 19.72 Points and Closes at 2,631.25, Only Three of Thirteen Sector Indices Close Green

The NEPSE index closed at 2,631.25 today after losing 19.72 points from last trading day's closing. The index had lost 17.15 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,653.57 today and made the intraday high at 2,660.64. While it went as low as 2,626.02, it ultimately closed at 2,631.25.

231 scrips traded hands via 37,032 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,967,471 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.57 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 3.364 Arba.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.36 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,568 per share. Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) is also the second-highest loser with a 3.57% loss. NTC unveiled its dividend proposal yesterday: 20% cash dividend and 20% bonus shares, its first-ever bonus dividend.

The shares of Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) were traded the most. Meanwhile, Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) gained the highest 9.98% and closed at 472.60. This is the IPO rookie's eighth day of trading. United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Limited. (UMRH) has lost the highest 4.92% and closed at Rs. 865.20.

Three sector indices gained while all others closed red. "Hotels And Tourism Index" gained the highest 2.09%. On the other side of things, "Others" lost the highest 2.47%.
