NEPSE Loses 18.53 Points First Day of the Week; Index Closes at 2,662.58

The NEPSE index closed at 2,662.58 today after losing 18.53 points from last trading day's closing. The index had gained 68.47 points last Wednesday.

The index opened at 2,687.19 and created the intraday high at 2,718.53. While it went as low as 2,654.75, it ultimately closed at 2,662.58.

A total of 7,251,744 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.49 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last Wednesday's turnover of Rs. 4.5 Arba. 220 scrips traded hands via 54,123 transactions.

Mahila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBSL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 18.93 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 5,249.80 per share. The shares of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) traded the most.

Two scrips have technically hit the 10% positive circuit breaker today while Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) lost the most 6.46%.

Only three sectors gained while all others closed red. Mutual Fund gained the most, and that too, a minimal 0.76%. Manufacturing and Products lost the most 3.16%.
