NEPSE Loses 1.8 Points and Closes at 2,944.78; Hydropower Companies Lead the Gainers List

The NEPSE index lost a minimal 1.8 points today and closed at 2,944.78. The index opened at 2,968.09 and immediately made the intraday high at 2,969.35. While it went as low as 2,926.15, it ultimately closed at 2,944.78. With this, total volatility of 43.2 points was seen in the intraday session today.
30,606,644 shares traded hands via 155,690 transactions. The trading of 220 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 16.1 Arba. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 16.997 Arba.
While the float index lost 0.37 points and closed at 203.82, the Sensitive index is at 527.87 after gaining 2.59 points.
Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 83.92 crores.
A total of nine companies have technically closed at the upper limit of 10% intraday gain today, most of which are hydropower companies.
On the other side of things, Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited (BNT) lost the most 3.95%.
Seven sectors lost today and six others closed green. Life Insurance lost the most 1.44% while Hydropower gained the most 2.99%.
