NEPSE Loses 17.75 Points and Closes at 2,819.86; Intraday Turnover At Slightly Over Rs. 7.77 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,819.86 today after losing 17.75 points from yesterday's closing. The index had gained 55.5 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,852.31 and created the intraday high at 2,865.81. While it went as low as 2,805.02, it ultimately closed at 2,819.86.

A total of 13,403,312 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 7.77 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 7.823 Arba. 222 scrips traded hands via 80,351 transactions.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 36.58 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 695 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of three scrips have technically gained 10%, thereby hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (KSBBL) lost the most 6.72%.

Three sectors gained while all others lost today. "Investment" gained the most, and that too, a minimal 0.43%. Hydropower lost the most 2.33%.
