NEPSE Loses 16.55 Points from Yesterday's All-Time High; Banking Loses Massive 2.34% While Non Life Insurance Soars Up 3.38% in a Day of Highest Turnover in History

The NEPSE index lost 16.55 points today and closed at 2,425.29. This is 0.68% lower than the all-time high created yesterday.

The index opened at 2,460.83 today which is also the intraday high. Although the index went as low as 2,420.64, it ultimately closed at 2,425.29.

22,153,981 shares traded hands via 82,352 transactions. The trading of 209 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 9.89 Arba. This is the highest turnover in the history of NEPSE. The record was previously broken just this month itself. While the float index lost 1.38 points and closed at 165.42, the Sensitive index is at 442.06 after losing 4.32 points.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 56.63 crores. The units of Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-2 (SIGS2) traded the most.

A total of 6 companies have technically hit a 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Siddhartha Equity Fund (SEF) lost the most 6.78%.

Three sectors gained and nine others closed red. While Banking lost the most 2.34%, Non-Life Insurance gained the most 3.38%.
