NEPSE Loses 16 Points From All-Time High; Eleven of Thirteen Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 3,107.45 today after losing 16 points from the all-time high created yesterday.

The index opened at 3,130.54 and immediately made the intraday high at 3,136.79. However, it lost in the overall market session today, going as low as 3,102.08. It ultimately closed at 3,107.45. The float index is at 217.06 after losing 0.86 points while the Sensitive index is at 579.00 after gaining 0.64 points.

A total of 28,845,431 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 14.316 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's figure of Rs. 15.595 Arba. 226 scrips traded hands via 135,042 transactions.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) had the highest turnover of Rs. 64.65 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 754 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of four scrips have hit the positive circuit breaker by gaining 10%, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a stock. On the other side of things, Universal Power Company Limited (UPCL) lost the most 5.85%.

Banking and Development Bank are the only sectors that gained today, with Development Banking gaining the highest 2.21%. Among all other sectors that closed red, Hydropower lost the most 2.16%.
