NEPSE Loses 14.58 Points and Closes at 2,876.75; Intraday Turnover Rises to Rs. 8.612 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,876.75 today after losing 14.58 points from last Tuesday's closing. This is a minimal loss of 0.5% on the index. The index had gained 19.29 points last Tuesday. The exchange remained closed yesterday (Wednesday) on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar.
The index opened at 2,898.61 today and made the intraday high at 2,924.65. While it went as low as 2,871.95, it ultimately closed at 2,876.75.
224 scrips traded hands via 108,365 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 15,780,713 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 8.612 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Tuesday's turnover of Rs. 6.574 Arba.
Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 82.7 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 593 per share. Its shares were also traded the most.
Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) gained the highest 10%, closing at Rs. 1,959.20, and hit the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, RMDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (RMDC) lost the highest 3.49%, hence closing at Rs. 1,260.
Only two sectors have closed green today. Among the two, "Hydropower" gained a higher (but still an insignificant) 0.17%. "Finance" lost the highest 1.33%.
