NEPSE Loses 14.48 Points and Closes at 2,871.05, Three Scrips Gain Highest Permissible 10% Nonetheless

The NEPSE index closed at 2,871.05 today after losing 14.48 points from yesterday's closing. This is a loss of 0.5% on the index. The index had gained a massive 105.55 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,895.77 and made the intraday high at 2,907.17. While it went as low as 2,860.98, it ultimately closed at 2,871.05.

225 scrips traded hands via 69,770 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 10,105,669 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 5.154 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 6.324 Arba.

Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 57.12 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 357 per share. Its shares were also traded the most.

A total of 3 companies technical gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Mountain Hydro Nepal Limited (MHNL) lost the highest 3.44%, hence closing at Rs. 506.

Only 3 of 13 sectors closed green. "Investment" gained the highest 2.18% and "Development Bank" lost the highest 2.13%.
