NEPSE Loses 1.29 Points and Closes at 2,968.43; Intraday Turnover At Rs. 10.9 Arba

The NEPSE index lost 1.29 points today and closed at 2,968.43. The index opened at 2,982.87 and made the intraday low at 2,945.42. While it went as high as 2,989.53, it ultimately closed at 2,968.43.

20,365,699 shares traded hands via 124,561 transactions. The trading of 223 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 10.904 Arba.

While the float index lost 0.4 points and closed at 205.35, the Sensitive index is at 541.12 after losing 0.58 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 76.74 crores.

Khani Khola Hydropower Company Limited (KKHC) is the highest gainer today with a 6.36% intraday gain. This is the first time no scrip has hit the 10% circuit breaker on the intraday gain in so long.

On the other side of things, CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) lost the most 6.96%. This is the rookie IPO stock's first loss In the secondary market.

Six sectors gained and seven others closed red. Development Bank gained the most 2.04% and Microfinance lost the most 1.19%.
