NEPSE Loses 12.35 Points and Closes at 2,652.75; Five Highest Gainers Hit 10% Positive Circuit in an Otherwise Red Day

The NEPSE index lost 12.35 points and closed at 2,652.75. The index opened at 2,676.45 and immediately made the intraday high at 2,692.89. However, this was the most that the bulls could push the index today. NEPSE eventually lost and ultimately closed near the intraday low of 2,645.8.
15,908,499 shares traded hands via 88,483 transactions. The trading of 216 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 7.52 Arba.

Api Power Company Limited (API) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 39.35 crores, which can be attributed to its rights offering approval notice being unveiled today. The units of Sunrise First Mutual Fund (SFMF) traded the most.

The five highest gainers have closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today.

On the other side of things, Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) has lost the most 3.58%.

Only Microfinance and Investment gained today, with Microfinance gaining the highest 1.3%. Of all the sectors that lost, the sector "Others" lost the most 1.53%.
