NEPSE Loses 1.17% and Closes at 2,733.12, Twelve of Thirteen Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,733.12 today after losing 32.31 points from yesterday's closing. The index had gained 7.9 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,765.67 and did not trade higher. While it went as low as 2,720.03, it ultimately closed at 2,733.12.

A total of 7,448,366 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.165 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 3.929 Arba. 227 scrips traded hands via 53,767 transactions.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 41.57 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,457 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

Manushi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBS) gained 10%, thereby hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) lost the most 5.84%.

Only the "Others" sector gained a minimal 0.94% today. Among all other sectors that lost, "Finance" lost the most 3.4%.
