NEPSE Loses 11.6 Points First Day of the Week, Intraday Turnover Declines to Rs. 4.357 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,757.53 today after losing 11.60 points from last week's closing. The index had lost 32.39 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,771.75 and made the intraday high at 2,779.68. While it went as low as 2,750.01, it ultimately closed at 2,757.53.

A total of 7,894,468 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.357 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 6.271 Arba. 225 scrips traded hands via 54,664 transactions.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 50.99 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 740 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of two scrips have technically gained 10%, thereby hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Terhathum Power Company Limited (TPC) lost the most 4.21%.

Only two sectors gained today. Manu.& Pro. gained the most 1.49%, and Trading lost the most 1.87%.
