NEPSE loses 11.34 points and closes at 1,589.63; Finance becomes the top gainer with 3.91% sector gain

The NEPSE index showed intense volatility today, first reaching the intraday high of 1,614.04 and ultimately closing at 1,589.63. Meanwhile, the index also reached an intraday low of 1,586.96 shortly before market-close.
11,164,506 shares exchanged hands via 48,199 transactions. The trading of 193 scrips brought the total market turnover to Rs. 2.9 Arba.
The float index lost 0.81 points and closed at 110.54 while the Sensitive index is 314.74 at after losing 1.65 points.
Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 12.41 crores. Meanwhile, the shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.
Four companies technically hit a 10% positive circuit today: Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL), Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL), Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL), and Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL).
On the other hand, Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) lost the most 7.08%, followed by Panchthar Power Company Limited (PPCL) which lost 6.86%.
Three sectors gained today while all others closed red. Finance gained the most 3.91% and Hydropower lost the most 3.08%. Interestingly, Hydropower had gained the most 5.54% yesterday.
