NEPSE Loses 0.54% to Close at 1,837.71 Levels; SHEL Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 10.10 points, or 0.54%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 1,837.71 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 3.42 points for the index.
The trading day started with the index opening at 1849.01, hitting an intraday low of 1,833.02, and reaching an intraday high of 1,857.35.
During today's trading, there were 292 different stocks traded in 38,584 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 4,698,682 with a total turnover of Rs. 1.54 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 28.33 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 9.88 Kharba.
Mountain Energy Nepal Limited (MEN) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 36.29 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs.434.90.
Similarly, Singati Hydro Energy Limited (SHEL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Civil Bank Debenture 2088 (CBLD88) with a gain of 7.36%.
On the flip side, Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) experienced the highest loss of 9.53% today.
In terms of sector indices, except the "Life Insurance Index" all other sector indices closed in the red with Manufacturing and Processing Index losing the most with 2.57%. Meanwhile, the Life Insurance Index gained the highest by 0.16 percent.
