NEPSE lands on green: Surge 3.75 points

NEPSE surged 3.75 points or 0.44 percent to settle at 850.16 level, compared to yesterday’s 846.41 mark index.
The benchmark index recorded gain after almost two weeks, which has attributed in regaining the confidence among the investors in the country.
The probable chances of accord among the major political parties of the country had resulted in substantial bounce of almost 12 points, where index touched the intraday high of 858.2 level, in the initial trading hour. Unlikely there after declined up to 850.16 level at closing.
The increase in participation of long term investors, who believes this is the right time for investing in the market, has attributed in upturn of the index.
However the turnover has plunged by meager Rs 5.5 million, compared to yesterday’s total of Rs 181.05 million.
Altogether 508,672 units share were traded through 1,939 transactions worth Rs 175.56 million.

Except Hotels and Others, which dropped by 10.88 and 1.18 points or 0.57 and 0.17 percent respectively, the remaining sub-indices landed has on green.
Banking, which covered almost 38 percent of the total turnover today, gained 5.97 points or 0.82 percent. Development and Insurance surged by 2.55 and 0.62 points respectively.
HydroPower and Finance increased by 7.22 and 0.68 points respectively.
Reliable Development, Country Development, Bishwa Bikas, Global IME and Prudential Finance Company Limited were the top gainers of the day.
Whereas Taragaon Regency, Karnali Development, Shikhar Insurance, Alliance Insurance and Bagmati Development Bank were on the top losers side of the day.
