NEPSE Index Witnessed Gain of 11.22 Points: New Broker Claims Top Spot On Highest Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,858.76 points, as the index experienced a gain of 11.22 points, or 0.60% compared to the previous day's closing. The index witnessed a gain of 21.30 points on the last trading day.
The trading started with the index opening at 1848.06 hitting an intraday low of 1,847.10, whereas the intraday high was 1,864.85.
Today marked an impressive debut for Sharepro Securities (Broker No. 65) ascending to the top position, showcasing an impressive and commendable performance with a total amount of Rs. 16.67 Crores. This is the first time any new broker to ever reach this position in the market.
During today's trading, there were 285 different stocks traded in 40,600 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 4,331,229 units with a total turnover of Rs. 99.65 Crore. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 28.63 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 9.99 Kharba.
Himalayan Bank Ltd. Promoter (HBLPO) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 9.16 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 300.
Similarly, Laxmi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (LLBS) showed the highest gain of 8.16% today.
On the flip side, Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) lost the highest 8.26% today.
In terms of sector indices, indices except "Non-Life Insurance", all other indices closed green. "Investment Index" gained the highest 1.51% while "Non-Life Insurance" recorded the most significant loss of 0.18% negative for the day.
