NEPSE Index Surges By 39.92 Points to Settle At 2,600.22 ; All Indices Close at Green Except Mutual Fund

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 39.92 points (1.55% ) to settle at 2,600.22. This follows a 0.79 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2562.34., touching an intraday high of 2,563.92, while the lowest point was 2,549.82. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.82 Arba, with 13,381,926 shares traded across 334 companies through 76,028 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.65 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.77 Kharba.


NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 65.6 crores. The stock closed at Rs.1,970.00.

 

Three scrips hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.


Meanwhile, Peoples Hydropower Company Limited (PHCL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.05%.

 

Among sectors, Life Insurance registered the highest gain, gaining 2.55%, while the Mutual Fund saw the highest loss at 0.23%.
