NEPSE Index Slumps by 11.04 Points on the Last Trading Day of the Week

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,956.92 points, as the index experienced highest loss of 11.04 points or 0.56% compared to the previous day's closing. The index gain 9.24 points yesterday.
The trading started with the index opening at 1,967.58 hitting an intraday low of 1,954.02, whereas intraday high was 1,970.15.
During today's trading, there were 280 different stocks traded in 50,069 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 3,562,624 units with a total turnover of Rs. 1.10 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.83 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.50 Kharba.
Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited (CLI) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 4.43 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 442.
Similarly, Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) showed the highest gain of 9.30%, followed by Eastern Hydropower Limited (EHPL) with a gain of 8.26%.
On the flip side, Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS) experienced the highest loss of 9.94% today.
In terms of sector indices, indices except Mutual Fund all other indices closed in the red, with the Mutual Fund index gaining 0.24%.
