NEPSE Index Sheds 26.80 Points on the First Trading Day of the Week, Banking Sector Loses the Most

The NEPSE index closed at 1,975.89 today after losing 26.80 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.34%. The index gained 50.04 points last Thursday.

Today the index opened at 2,008.26 and it made an intraday high at 2,017.30. While it went as low as 1,970.67 and ultimately closed at 1,975.89.

260 scrips traded hands via 36,280 transactions. A total of 4,772,140 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.666 Arba in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.565 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.21 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 449.30 per share. The shares of NIFRA traded the most.

Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) gained the highest 9.98% and technically hit positive for the day.

Conversely, 12% Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (GWFD83) lost the highest 6.55% today.

All sector indices closed red, "Banking" lost the highest 1.71% while "Manufacturing And Processing" lost the least 0.39% today.
