NEPSE Index Sees 0.38% Uptick, Hotels And Tourism Sector Gains Most Among Sub-Indices

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 9.78 points (0.38% ) to settle at 2,550.36. This follows a 5.15 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2543.89, touching an intraday high of 2,555.32, while the lowest point was 2,534.97. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 3.94 Arba, with 8,893,778 shares traded across 335 companies through 61,635 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 42.82 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.47 Kharba.

Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 18 crores. The stock closed at Rs.679.20.

Four scrips hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.

Meanwhile, Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited (BEDC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.99%.

Among sectors, Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.07%, while the Others Index saw the highest loss at 0.49%.
