NEPSE Index Sees 0.30% Uptick, IPO Rookie TAMOR Hits Circuit Breaker

The NEPSE index closed at 1,844.02 today after gaining 5.54 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.30%. The index lost 28.31 points last yesterday.
Today the index opened at 1,837.65 and went intraday low of 1,833.08. In contrast, it went as high as 1,851.49 and ultimately closed at 1,844.02.
261 scrips traded hands via 35,549 transactions. A total of 2,960,863 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 91.19 Crores in turnover amount. This is lower than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.159 Arba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 6.84 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 392 per share. The shares of TAMOR traded the most.
Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower Limited (TAMOR) gained the highest 10% followed by Kalinchowk Darshan Limited (KDL) with 9.97%.
Conversely, Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (GILB) lost the highest 6.54% today.
Only one sector closed red, "Finance" lost 0.11% while "Hotel and Tourism" gained the highest 1.71% today.
