NEPSE Index Rises by Significant 47.75 points to 1900 Levels; Volume Highest In 2 Months

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 47.75 points, or 2.56%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 1,907.95 points. The previous trading day saw a gain of 9.87 points for the index. This is the highest index, NEPSE recorded in last 1.5 months.

The index opened trading at 1859.24 and had an intraday low of 1,852.67 and an intraday high of 1,908.19.

There were 294 different stocks traded in 66,516 transactions during today's session. 6,530,643 shares were traded, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 2.01 arba. With a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.26 Kharba, the market capitalization was Rs. 29.41 Kharba. This is the hightest turnover recorded in last 2 months.

At a market price of Rs. 293.30, Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) finished with the highest turnover of Rs. 11.66 crores. 

Likewise, today's highest gainers were Chhyangdi Hydropower Ltd. (CHL) and Bhagawati Hydropower Development Company Limited (BGWT), at 10%. Following the list is Vijaya laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (VLBS) at 9.99%.

Conversely, today's biggest loss were recorded by Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS) and NMB Sulav Investment Fund - 2 (NSIF2), at 2.47%.

Today, all sector indexes closed in the green. "Life Insurance" saw the most gain of 4.44%, whereas "Mutual Fund" saw a least gain of 1.41%.
