NEPSE Index Rises By Significant 40.48 Points To 1,980.09 Levels; Volume Highest In 4 Months

The NEPSE index closed at 1,980.09 today after gaining huge 40.48 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 2.09%. The index gained 7.27 points last Thursday.

Today the index opened at 1,941.52 and then made the intraday low at 1,941.24. In contrast, it went as high as 1,983.98 and ultimately closed at 1,980.09.

275 scrips traded hands via 61,450 transactions. A total of 9,528,255 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.45 Arba in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.305 Arba. This is the highest turnover in 4 months (8th Feb 2023), when the turnover amount stood at Rs 3.69 Arba.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) had the highest turnover of Rs. 11.47 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,458 per share. The shares of SNMAPO traded the most.

Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited (BEDC) gained the highest 10% followed by City Hotel Limited (CITY) with a 9.99% gain.

Conversely, Global IME Balanced Fund-1 (GIBF1) lost the highest 3.83% today.

All sector indices closed green, "Finance" gained the highest 5.72% while "Mutual Fund" gained the least 0.42% today.
