NEPSE Index Rises 15.33 Points Amidst Falling Interest Rates: Investors Await Monetary Policy

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 15.33 points, or 0.73%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,101.16 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 10.50 points for the index.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2,085.81 hitting an intraday low of 2,081.81, and reaching an intraday high of 2,103.91.

During today's trading, there were 314 different stocks traded in 75,105 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 10,108,122 with a total turnover of Rs. 3.58 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 33.02 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.33 Kharba.

 

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led in turnover, totaling Rs. 23.02 crores, and concluded the day with a market price of Rs. 692.10.

 

Similarly, Five companies hit the positive circuit for today.

 

On the flip side, NIC ASIA Growth Fund-2 (NICGF2) experienced the highest loss of 8.89%.

 

In terms of sector indices, Only one sector index closed in red today. The "Manufacturing And Processing Index" saw the highest gain of 2.22%, while the "Others Index" saw a loss of 0.05%.
