NEPSE Index Records Three Consecutive Days of Decline; Closes Today at 1,876.60 Level

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 17.93 points, or 0.94%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 1,876.60 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 2.17 points for the index.
Due to technical issues caused by a power outage in the NEPSE system, which delayed trading activity for 24 minutes at first, the stock market closed today at 3:24 pm, since the trading had begun at 11:24 am.
However, for the third day in a row, the NEPSE index ended the trading day lower. The market, which started to decline from Monday, continued the same trend on this day as well.
The index opened trading at 1894.79 and had an intraday low of 1,871.93 and an intraday high of 1,907.07.
There were 286 different stocks traded in 34,747 transactions during today's session. 4,900,897 shares were traded, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 1.23 arba. With a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.08 Kharba, the market capitalization was Rs. 28.93 Kharba.
At a market price of Rs. 295.50, Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) finished with the highest turnover of Rs. 6.28 crores on fourth consecutive day.
Likewise, today's highest gainer is Vijaya laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (VLBS), at 9.88%.
Conversely, today's biggest loss is recorded by Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC), at 9.98%.
Today, all sector indicies closed in the red, except for "Others Index". "Others Index" saw the most gain of 0.16%, whereas "Manufacturing And Processing" saw a loss of 2.13%.
