NEPSE Index Plunges By 41.35 Points to Close at 2,834 Levels; Total Turnover Stood at Rs. 9.33 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 41.35 points (1.43%) to settle at 2,834.00. This follows a 16.46-point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2875.57, touching an intraday high of 2,906.24, while the lowest point was 2,831.63. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 9.33 Arba, with 22,207,122 shares traded across 325 companies through 130,952 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.30 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 16.07 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 39.28 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,004.00

Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) and Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB)
led the gainer's list with a 10.00% gain each.

Meanwhile, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10.00%.

Among sectors, the Microfinance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.50%, while the Others Index saw the highest loss at 2.83%.
