NEPSE Index Plunged Further 5.11 Points To Close at 2,057.68; Intraday Turnover Stood at Rs. 1.935 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,057.68 today after losing 5.11 points from last trading day. This is a loss of 0.25%. The index had lost huge 45.42 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,064.39 points and went intraday low at 2,042.62. Then, the index went intraday high at 2,074.92 and ultimately closed at 2,057.68.

218 scrips traded hands via 36,134 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,640,844 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.935 Arba in the turnover amount. This is alot lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.815 Arba.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) had the highest turnover of Rs. 10.68 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,254 per share. The shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) traded the most.

Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) gained highest 9.97% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited (HEI) lost the highest 9.99% today.

Only sector indices closed green, "Investment" gained 0.69% while "Trading" lost the highest 1.49%.
