NEPSE Index Plunged by 0.91% to Close at 1,833.69; SHIVM Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

The NEPSE index closed at 1,833.69 today after losing 16.93 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.91%. The index lost 19.12 points yesterday.

Today the index opened at 1,850.73 and made an intraday high of 1,854.21. In contrast, it went as low as 1,825.61 and ultimately closed at 1,833.69.

270 scrips traded hands via 25,588 transactions. A total of 2,810,627 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 82.42 Crores in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 60.81 Crores.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 3.78 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 398 per share. The shares of HDHPC traded the most.

Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) gained the highest 8.05% for the day.

Conversely, Eastern Hydropower Limited (EHPL) lost the highest 9.99% today.

All sector indices closed red, "Hotel and Tourism" lost the highest 2.44% while "Mutual Fund" lost the least 0.06% today.
