NEPSE Index Plunged by 0.18% to Close at 1,949.85; Only Two Sector Indices Closed Green

The NEPSE index closed at 1,949.85 today after losing 3.51 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.18%. The index had gained 2.99 points yesterday.
The index opened at 1,953.07 and made intraday high at 1,955.60. It then made intraday low at 1,942.95 and ultimately closed at 1,949.85.
238 scrips traded hands via 15,691 transactions. A total of 2,355,845 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 84.26 Crores in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 95.70 Crores.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 4.79 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 3,978 per share. The shares of Nepal Investment Bank Ltd. Promoter Share (NIBPO) traded the most.
GreenLife Hydropower Limited (GLH) gained the highest 4.17% for the day.
On the other side of things, Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF) lost 5.76% today.
Onlt two sector indices closed green, "Trading" gained the highest 0.88% while "Finance" lost the highest 1.09%.
