NEPSE Index Plummets Double-Digit While Market Capitalization Declined to Rs. 30.38 Kharba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,004.30 points, as the index experienced loss of 18.60 points or 0.91% compared to the previous day's closing. On Tuesday, the index experienced gain of 18.45 points.
The trading started with the index opening at 2,023.52 hitting an intraday low of 1,993.46, whereas intraday high was 2,027.19.
During today's trading, there were 282 different stocks traded in 58,367 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 7,061,404 with a total turnover of Rs. 1.81 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 30.38 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.70 Kharba.
Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (SNLI) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 7.62 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 481.
Similarly, Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Limited (MEHL) showed the highest gain of 9.90%, followed by Asian Hydropower Limited (AHL) with a gain of 7.91%.
On the flip side, Laxmi Value Fund 2 (LVF2) experienced the highest loss of 10% today.
In terms of sector indices, all sector indices closed red. "Hydropower Index" lost the highest 1.51% while "Mutual Fund Index" lost the least 0.12% today.
