NEPSE Index Plummets by 45.36 Points to Close at 2,559.59 ; Total Turnover Stood at Rs. 5.76 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 45.36 points (1.74%) to settle at 2,559.59. This follows a 58.55 -point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,610.28, touching an intraday high of 2,610.31, while the lowest point was 2,535.30. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.76 Arba, with 13,749,504 shares traded across 335 companies through 63,509 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 42.78 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.53 Kharba.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 26.16 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,307.00.

Shangri-la Development Bank Debenture 2087 (SDBD87) led the gainer's list with 7.09%.

Meanwhile, Prabhu Insurance Ltd. (PRIN) recorded the steepest drop, falling 6.12%.

Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest loss, losing 3.09%, while the Trading Index saw the least loss at 0.43%.
