NEPSE Index Plummets By 31.50 Points To Close at 2,922.63 Levels, HRL Emerged as Top Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 31.50 points (1.06%) to settle at 2,922.63. This follows a 47.93 -point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2961.8, touching an intraday high of 2,967.03, while the lowest point was 2,915.47. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 15.98 Arba, with 36,871,244 shares traded across 318 companies through 168,594 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 48.76 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 16.55 Kharba.

 

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 1.33 Arba. The stock closed at Rs. 1,100.70.


Trade Tower Limited (TTL) and Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each.

 

Meanwhile, Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited (BEDC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.10%.

 

Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.18%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 2.44%.
