NEPSE Index Plummets By 1.03% To Close at 2,654.35 Levels; UNHPL Leads Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 27.89 points (1.03%) to settle at 2,654.35. This follows a 58.63 -point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2683.46 touching an intraday high of 2,689.67, while the lowest point was 2,645.30. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.12 Arba, with 9,408,663 shares traded across 317 companies through 47,852 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.37 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.06 Kharba.

 

Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.22.13 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 474.30

 

Three scrips hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.

Meanwhile, Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.38%.

 

Among sectors, the Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.85%, while the Others Index saw the highest loss at 2.16%.
