NEPSE Index Plummets 26.51 Points To Close at 2,649.52 Levels; Only Two Sector Close at Green While Overall Turnover Stood at 7.08 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 26.51 points (0.99% ) to settle at 2,649.52. This follows a 10.43 point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2674.69, touching an intraday high of 2,694.89, while the lowest point was 2,644.13. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.08 Arba, with 15,736,372 shares traded across 342 companies through 86,170 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.48 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.07 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 23.05 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 859.00.

Five Companies led the gainer's list by 10.00% each.

Meanwhile, 10% NIMB Debenture 2090 (NIMBD90) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.99%.

Among sectors, Manufacturing And Processing registered the highest gain, gaining 0.73%, while the Investment Index saw the highest loss at 1.48%.
