NEPSE Index on Gaining Streak; Surged 20.55 Points Today To Close at 2,164.48, Intraday Turnover Inclined to Rs 5.459 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,164.48 today after gaining 20.55 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.96%. The index gained 18.09 points last Thursday.
Today the index opened at 2,148.93 and made an intraday low of 2,126.47. It made an intraday high of 2,191.69 and closed at 2,164.48 levels.
259 scrips traded hands via 75,465 transactions. A total of 14,100,988 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 5.459 Arba in turnover amount. This is a bit higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 5.04 Arba.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 21.29 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,871 per share. The shares of HDHPC traded the most.
Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) and Khaptad Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KLBS) gained all they could and hit a positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) lost the highest 4.25% today.
Only three sector indices closed green, "Life Insurance" gained the highest 4.43% while "Manufacturing and Processing" lost the highest 1.07% today.
