NEPSE Index Observes Negligible Loss of 0.06 Points To Stand at 2049.38 Level on Last Trading Day of Week

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed on the last trading day of the week with a negligible loss of 0.06 points to stand at 2049.38 level. On Wednesday, NEPSE had lost 39.26 points to stagnate at 2049.44 level.

Today, the market that opened at 2050.28 made an intra-day high at 2064.57 points, while it went as low as 2033.43 to eventually close at 2049.38.

A total of 280 scrips were traded via 69,655 transactions for 9,751,985 unit shares which led to a total turnover of Rs. 3.07 Arba.

Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 18.56 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 597.

On Thursday, two scrips technically touched the upper circuit including CITY, RAWA after gaining 9.99%, while UPPER and JOSHI, almost touched the upper circuit with them gaining 9.85% and 9.33%, respectively.

In contrast, the recently listed Modi Energy Limited (MEL) lost all it could in a day by touching the lower circuit to close at Rs. 218.70.

Among the sub indices, the Investment Index lost the most with 0.78% while the Hotels and Tourism Index gained the most with 1.42% change.
