NEPSE Index Loses Minimal 5.09 Points While 10 Highest Gainers Hit 10% Positive Circuit Breakers

The NEPSE index lost a minimal 5.09 points today and closed at 2,649.60. The index opened at 2,675.95 but did not trade anywhere higher than that. Thus, the market-open itself is the intraday high today. The index closed near the intraday low of 2,648.74. The trading session was indecisive at best.

14,867,995 shares traded hands via 78,771 transactions. The trading of 218 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.21 Arba. While the float index lost 0.17 points and closed at 182.62, the Sensitive index is at 473.81 after losing 1.63 points.

Prabhu Insurance Company Limited Promoter Share (PRINPO) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 23.69 crores. The shares of Singati Hydro Energy Limited (SHEL) traded the most.

The ten highest gainers have impressively closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today. On the other side of things, Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ALBSL) has lost the most 3.43%.

Four sectors gained and all others lost today. Hydropower companies have gained massively today, with the overall sector gaining 1.73%. Meanwhile, Manufacturing and Products lost the most 1.15%.
