NEPSE Index Loses for Second Consecutive Day; Four Sector Close at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today declining by 11.37 points (0.41%) to settle at 2,755.41. This comes after a loss of 13.46 points in the previous trading session yesterday.

The benchmark index opened at 2,759.84 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,769.32 and a low of 2,749.26 before settling higher at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 5.62 Arba, with 12,732,868 shares traded across 353 companies through 55,467 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.01 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.77 Kharba.

Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 55.69 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 413.00.

Kalinchock Hydropower Limited (KHPL) and Led the gainer's list with 15.00%.The stock Closed at Rs. 757.60.

Meanwhile, 8.5% SBL Debenture 2084 (SBLD84) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 4.92%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 1,120.00.

Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest gain by 2.77%, while Manufacturing And Processing recorded highest fall, falling by 0.79%.
