NEPSE Index Loses Double Digits to Close at 2,168.53; Five Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The NEPSE index closed at 2,168.53 today after losing 14.68 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.67%. The index lost 0.35 points last Thursday.

Today the index opened at 2,185.46 and made an intraday low of 2,163.89. It went as high as 2,192.85 and ultimately closed at 2,168.53.

267 scrips traded hands via 51,973 transactions. A total of 8,276,751 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.017 Arba in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.86 Arba. 

HIDCLP shares traded the most whereas IME General Insurance Ltd (IGI) had the highest turnover of Rs. 9.99 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 516 per share.

Five companies gained all they could for the day and hit the positive circuit.

On the other side of things, Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) lost the highest 6.09% today.

Only two sector indices closed green, "Life Insurance" gained the highest 0.34% while "Finance" lost the highest 2.04% today.
