NEPSE Index Loses Double Digits to Close at 1,995.49; Intraday Turnover Declined to Rs 1.288 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 1,995.49 today after losing 24.44 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.21%. The index lost 3.81 points yesterday.
Today the index opened at 2,020.72 and made the intraday high at 2,024.70. While it went as low as 1,994.46 and ultimately closed at 1,995.49.
257 scrips traded hands via 26,454 transactions. A total of 3,729,976 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.288 Arba in turnover amount. This is lower than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.387 Arba.
Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Ltd (UPPER) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.72 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 475 per share. The shares of NICBF traded the most.
Adarsha Laghubitta (ADLB) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.
Conversely, Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited (BNT) lost the highest 9.61% today.
All sector indices closed red, "Microfinance" lost the highest 2.65% each while "Banking" lost the least 0.58% today.
