NEPSE Index Loses Double Digits on First Trading Day of the Week to Close at 1,870.65; All Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 1,870.65 today after losing 19.11 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.01%. The index lost 2.27 points yesterday.
Today the index opened at 1,889.41 and made an intraday high of 1,890.34. In contrast, it went as low as 1,867.73 and ultimately closed at 1,870.65.
271 scrips traded hands via 26,801 transactions. A total of 3,206,450 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 95.43 Crores in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 73.96 Crores.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 4.25 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 405 per share. The shares of NIMB traded the most.
