NEPSE Index Loses 5.15 Points to Close at 2,540.57; Only Three Indices Close At Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 5.15 points (0.20% ) to settle at 2,540.57. This follows a 1.13 point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2550.18, touching an intraday high of 2,550.18, while the lowest point was 2,533.03. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 3.89 Arba, with 7,957,056 shares traded across 337 companies through 47,176 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 42.64 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.41 Kharba.

10.75% SBL Debenture 2089 (SBLD89) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 28.9 crores. The stock closed at Rs.1425.

Three scrips hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.

Meanwhile, Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited (BEDC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10.00%.

Among sectors,Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.72%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 0.87%.
