NEPSE Index Loses 30.51 Points, Intraday Turnover Rises to Rs. 8.033 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,803.62 today after losing 30.51 points from yesterday's closing. This is a loss of 1.08% on the index. The index had gained 49.19 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,839.87 and created the intraday high at 2,874.8. While it went as low as 2,796.66, it ultimately closed at 2,803.62.

229 scrips traded hands via 90,590 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 16,147,390 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 8.033 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 6.724 Arba.

Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) had the highest turnover of Rs. 28.69 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 400 per share. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) traded the most.

A total of four companies technically gained 10%, hence hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) lost the highest 6.21%, hence closing at Rs. 467.

Three sector indices gained while all others closed red. "Investment" gained the highest 3.13% and "Others" lost the highest 3.44%.
