NEPSE Index Loses 12.50 Points to Close at 2,594.87; Only Two Indices Close At Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, declining by 12.50 points (0.47%) to settle at 2,594.87. This follows a 1.66 point loss in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,607.05, touching an intraday high of 2,614.31, while the lowest point was 2,587.88. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4 Arba, with 11,272,168 shares traded across 330 companies through 60,699 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.56 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.72 Kharba.

Kumari Bank Limited Promotor Share (KBLPO) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 26.18 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 105.

Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SWASTIK) led the gainers' list by 10.00%.

Meanwhile, City Hotel Limited (CITY) recorded the steepest drop, falling 6.26%.

Among sectors, the Hydropower Index registered the highest loss, losing 0.93%, while the Mutual Fund Index saw the highest gain at 0.51%.
