NEPSE Index Gains Minimal 2.70 Points; Eleven of Thirteen Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,819.65 today after gaining 2.7 points from yesterday's closing. The index had gained 104.88 points in a fierce bullish domination yesterday.

The index opened at 2,833.52 and made the intraday high at 2,882.32. However, it began to lose from there, going as low as 2,804.53. The index then ultimately closed at 2,819.65.

A total of 15,714,266 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 7.726 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 6.179 Arba. 228 scrips traded hands via 87,810 transactions.

Sanima Bank Limited (SANIMA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 34.15 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 528.40 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) gained the most 10% while Himalayan Power Partner Limited (HPPL) lost the most 5.09%.

Only two sectors closed green today. Banking has gained a hopeful 2.47% while Hotels and Tourism lost the most 2.86%.
