NEPSE Index Further Plunges 16.69 Points With Higher Market Participation

The NEPSE index closed at 2,613.67 today after losing 16.69 points from last trading day's closing. The index had lost 20.34 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,630.93 today and made the intraday high at 2,638.62. However, it couldn't sustain the rise, and the index kept falling from there. While it went as low as 2,611.96, it ultimately closed at 2,613.67.

224 scrips traded hands via 45,076 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 5,298,543 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.248 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 2.046 Arba.

Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittya Sanstha Ltd (JBLB) had the highest turnover of Rs. 30.63 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 5,100 per share. The shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) were traded the most.

Rastra Utthan Laghubitta Sanstha Limited (RULB) is the highest gainer with a 10% gain. On the other side of things, Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) lost the highest 4.67%.

Among the thirteen sector indices, only two closed green today, of which "Life Insurance" gained a higher 2.55%. Among all other sector indices that lost, "Finance" lost the highest 1.98%.
