NEPSE Index fell by double digits

A big dropdown of double digits was recorded in NEPSE index today. It fell by 10.67 points to land at 884.74 level than the yesterday’s 895.41 level.

The selling pressure formed by the wary investors amid the ongoing row between the major three parties continued to dampen the market transition, as the market floated on red zone throughout the day.

Each of the sub-indices performed poor today. Hotels and Manufacturing were able to manage themselves to green at the end by only 0.57 and 4.77 points gain respectively.

Insurance and HydroPower were the big losers today which plunged by 50.61 and 35.93 points respectively, followed by Others which dropped by 11.74 points.

Banking and Development  had similar consequences as both sectors shed  9.08 and 9.37 points respectively. Finance, which was ‘the only’ sector on green yesterday, dropped by 3.54 points today.

The market turnover stood at Rs 214.1 million, compared to yesterday’s figure of Rs 221.87 million.
