NEPSE index falls by 10.62 points on the first day of the week; Closes at 1,204.54 points with a turnover of Rs 45.43 crore

The market today had opened at 1,215.14 points, saw minor ups and down and closed at 1,204.54 losing 0.87%.Today's turnover stands at Rs 45.43 crore with a total of 5,413 transactions throughout the day.

Nepal Life Insurance (NLIC) bagged the top position in terms of turnover closing at Rs 1,141. Similarly in terms of shares traded, Nepal Bank (NBL) stood at top with a total of 98,987 shares being traded.

The position of top gainer for today goes to Multipurpose finance Company (MPFL), climbing 9.43% to Rs 174. On the other hand, Kabeli Bikas Bank (KEBL) landed as the top loser declining by 9.45% to Rs 218.

The sub-indices of the sectors also look grim today. Only three sectors, Hotels, Non-life Insurance, Manufacturing and processing, have landed in the green zone while all the other sector landed in red.
